First Day of Montessori

The long anticipated first day of Montessori has finally arrived.  When we dropped her off, the first few minutes she was fine, as she was distracted with cooking fruit loops.  However, once she realized Mohamed and I were gone, she started her tantrum throwing.  Mohamed and I just stood there observing her behind the one way mirror.  Ms. Jenna and Ms. Allessa started their Montessori magic!

She had a fabulous day overall.  When we went to pick up Emmersyn at the end of the day, the first comment that the teacher told us as soon as we walked through the door was, "Boy is she a talker!"  "Excuse me, are you talking about Emmersyn?  Do you know which child is Emmersyn?  You must be mistaken," I rambled with a confused look on my face.  I thought she babbled a lot and just assumed that Mohamed and I understood what she was saying because we were her parents.  When we asked the teacher if they could understand what she was saying they answered, "Yes.  She speaks well."  Supposedly she is at par with the other 2 year-olds.  Fabulous!!!!

Anyway, here are the pictures from this morning....This first picture Emmersyn is trying to put on her backpack by herself.  No cute outfit this morning.  We had to be practical with the downpour of rain.

It was a rather ugly day today with all of the rain.  It rained constantly and never let up.  Good thing Emmersyn had her rain jacket.  Nothing was going to stop her from getting to Montessori!

And out the door she goes....

You can't forget to bring the paci (or soother as they call it in Canada) to school!

She is deep in thought anticipating what her first day is going to be like!

How sweet is her big brother????

Awwww....another precious picture.

And yet another!

Hopping into their own personal bus!  Much better than having to wait out in the rain for the big yellow school bus!

So the 2 big days are over....we'll see what is to come!

  2. I'm glad to hear Emmersyn had a great first day! That gives you piece of mind that she will enjoy her new learning environment. As for the speaking..... it looks like she takes after her MOTHER!!!!!
