Another suit

The chicken is marinating and the Father's Day gifts are wrapped.  We are now just anxiously awaiting for our guests to arrive in about 19 hours.  Can't wait.  In the meantime, check out another one of Emmersyn's new bathing suits.  This one is from Crazy 8 in the States.

And check out the blackberry face!

That's it.  Looking forward to tomorrow!

Let the Weekend Begin

I'm so excited that it is the weekend.  That means back to blogging, spending lots of fun time with the kids, and looking forward to Father's Day.  Our Friday started out as a typical day dropping Cameron off at school and heading over to gymnastics with Emmersyn. She was, of course, fabulous and she is now able to run across the beam, as well as, do high kicks on the beam.  On the way home we stopped for some cookies and ice cream (and some turkey).  Emmersyn was exhausted and took a nap after her snack.  I decided to head out in search of some sundresses and bathing suits (for me this time).  No luck.  The dresses looked unsightly on me and the bathing suits were horrendous. Hopefully I'll find something next weekend when Nicole, Michele, and myself take a shopping trip to Birch Run!  I'm so excited for this outing!

Anyway, check out another one of Emmersyn's new bathing suits.  I find this one much more flattering than the last bathing suit (the brown one with hearts).

                                                The front view.....

The back view....

Resting in her chair....

And, of course an eating picture.  But, check out all of the healthy food she is eating.

Cameron had invited his friend, Caitlyn, over for a play date after school.  After playing outside for a while, they decided to come inside and play UNO attack.  There really was an attack of those UNO cards all over.  Not quite sure who was the winner.

Then, a little jumping on the bed...

And then being little engineers putting together a train track.

How precious are these two friends?

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Looking forward to seeing our family on Sunday!

Brrrrrr....

Nothing new to report since yesterday except the obvious.....  It was a bit on the chilly side!  I'm just hoping that the weather is going to be nicer next Sunday for Father's Day than it was today.  All we did today was run to Meijer for some cheap toiletries and stopped at mom's to pick up a third wii remote that we had ordered for Cameron.  He was so excited.  He is looking forward to Mohamed and myself playing simultaneously with him.  He foresees fun and excitement, and I foresee a calamity.  Anyway, here are a few pics from today.

Cameron was just trying to give Emmersyn a hug in this first photo.

He then had an idea that he wanted to show off his strength and pick up his baby sister.

Emmersyn is such a big girl, yet her prized possessions are her bottle and her pacy.  She can not live without these!

Here Cameron is showing off all of his wii remotes.  The red one is his and is for Mario (first player), the white remote is for Mohamed who likes to be Luigi (2nd player), and the pink remote is mine and I always choose to be the yellow toad.

While Cameron was trying to play three players solo, Emmersyn headed outside.

She had decided she needed to do some lawn work....on the driveway..

She ran into some trouble and had to perform a little bit of maintenance.  Maybe next time she will utilize the lawnmower on the grass.

Here, Cameron is checking out his new Mario shirt that he bought today.

He is so excited.

Emmersyn was looking for assistance for someone to bail her out from getting stuck in the fence.

And this picture doesn't surprise me.  Cameron made his way outside to join us.  Rather than choosing an outside toy to play with, he chose the brush to clean the driveway.  Another perfect example of how he takes after his father.  I would never choose to clean over play.

Not only does Cameron love to clean, he is also very caring.  Last night when Mohamed was at work, I told Cameron that my stomach was hurting.  His response, "Mommy why don't you rest in bed for a long time.  I'll keep an eye on the baby."  Isn't he such a thoughtful little boy?  I love it!  Another one of his favorite comments is, "Mommy, you look so beautiful." This is what he tells me nearly every day once I get dressed after the shower.  What a wonderful way to start my day.

Fever, rocks, watch, etc...

Another mundane week here in Windsor.  Emmersyn decided to catch whatever Cameron had the previous week so she dealt with a fever for a good 3 days.  She's finally beginning to act herself again.  This picture was from this morning.  She was so excited to get some fresh air.  She enjoyed relaxing in her chair on the deck taking in the humidity.

After a few minutes, she had decided she had enough rest and relaxation.  It was time to explore.  She headed for the gate and was down the stairs.

She was intrigued by the shiny white rocks that were now in her backyard.  While she was ill, Mohamed did some more landscaping.  We added these white marble rocks and some "grass" plants.  I love the rocks.

Emmersyn had picked out the one perfect rock.

Cameron heard the fun from inside and decided to come out in his pj's in search of a "hidden treasure" under the rocks.  He was disappointed when he didn't find what he was searching for.

This was a picture when Emmersyn was not feeling well.  She was engaged in one of her favorite activities.  Putting stickers all over her body.

And, Mohamed was so excited the other day when he got dressed up.  After he was all dressed, he comes in and declares, "You want to know something funny?"  I was anticipating that he was going to tell me another funny story about the kids.  Instead, he said, "I don't have a watch to wear."  Yes, that is funny, because if you are not aware, Mohamed has a watch collection in every color and every style, to match every outfit he owns.  Brown, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, magenta, heavy, light, medium, gigantic, normal size, etc.  I guess he'll be back on the watch hunt...

And lastly, Mohamed was out front adding some more rocks to his front landscape.  This time he recruited Cameron.

That's it for the update.  Hopefully tomorrow we will have some fun to report.

Nothing new this weekend

The weekend has come and gone.  Cameron is feeling much better and defeated whatever virus he was fighting the past 48 hours.  Yesterday he started to perk up and we took a drive to the Strawberry Festival in LaSalle.  To make a long story short, we had a camera malfunction that I blamed on Mohamed and Mohamed blamed on me.  Regardless, we lost all of the pictures that we took.  These were the two pictures that I was able to salvage.

Today we headed outside again to play in the backyard.  Here Cameron is modeling his new Mario bathing suit.

And here Emmersyn is modeling off one of her new bathing suits.  I don't like this one at all.  It won't make the cut to be packed for the Bahamas.  We have lots more to model off and will choose the most flattering that will be joining us on vacation.

Cameron just chilling in the pool!

He is still trying to get the hang of the slip and slide.  He needs some more advice from Nicholas and Amanda.  Can't wait for Father's Day when we can all play together again.

Cameron found a way to  use the slide pool as a slip and slide.  He loved it!

Emmersyn had enough water for the day.  She was heading out.

After we came in and took baths, what better snack then some chocolate Timbits?

Have a great week.  I'll be back next weekend.
