Birthday Party

So we have lots and lots of birthday pics.   Check out our fun day (or just skim over the pictures.  I needed documentation for the blog book.)

(Ignore all of the typos and fragment sentences.  It's been a long day and cognitively I'm not the sharpest at this moment.  Just enjoy at face value!)

Here is Emmersyn just waking up from her nap waiting for the guests to arrive.

And, because I'm not creative nor artistic like Nicole or Laura, I opted for the Costco cake.  However, instead of having them design and write on the cake, I ordered a blank cake having my own idea in mind.  Here I started my creation...It really looks like it took a lot of thought!

This is my idea of a birthday cake.  One cake, half for Cameron and half for Emmersyn. 

I think this picture of Nicole and Mohamed is cute.

I decided to get a picture with Mohamed too.

Once again, Emmersyn looking annoyed.

Here came the fun time.  First it was time to sing to Cameron on his side of the cake.

And, once his candles were blown out, we sang to Emmersyn.

The kids got soooooo many fun presents from everyone.  Emmersyn got so many cute clothes I can not wait to play dress up with her.  She is definitely going to be the most stylish 2 year-old in Windsor.

Laura is going to be on the hunt for a Boofo at Costco!  Look at how comfy she looks!  Watch out Brad, you might have some competition.

And, all I have to say to Crystal is "I'm soooo sorry."  Crystal and Justin got Emmersyn this Mickey Mouse Puzzle and Emmersyn would not stop putting it together.  And, she suckered Crystal into watching her over and over and over.  I think Crystal stopped counting after Emmersyn did it 20+ times.

Two cute cousins!  Check out the cute dress Gabby is wearing.  I'm so excited that Emmersyn got one very similar to hers.  They can be matching fastionistas!

After everyone left, Emmersyn showered and slipped into her new pjs!

Of course, she had to do the puzzle one last time before she went to bed.

By 6:30 she was out like a light on her lion.  I have a feeling we are going to be up bright and early tomorrow morning!

My Monkey and Bofo

This was becoming such a problem...

So.....we had to convert this monkey's crib into a toddler bed.  And check out Bofo the Bear.  Can you guess where he came from?  Where else would you find this huge bear but at Costco?  And, anytime Mohamed takes a trip to Costco you never know what odd and random item he will return home with.

Happy Birthday Cameron

Cameron's video wouldn't upload, but here are a few birthday pics that will have to do.

When we wished Cameron a Happy Birthday this morning, he responded in a quite annoyed tone, "I know it is my birthday.  You don't need to tell me."

When asked about what he was hoping for a gift he responded, "I hope it's not a toy.  We have WAY TOO many toys."  Wow is he observant.  He then proceeds to state, "I only want one gift.  If you get me two gifts, I'm going to give one to Emmersyn."  He is sooooo weird!

The other night, Emmersyn and Cameron were playing in my bedroom.  Emmersyn got upset and started to cry.  Her nose also started to run so as I left the room to grab a Kleenex, Cameron asked me where I was going.  I simply stated, "I need to blow Emmersyn's nose."  When I returned to the bedroom with the Kleenex, Cameron is blowing on Emmersyn's face.  When I asked Cameron what he was doing to Emmersyn, he simply stated, "I'm blowing her nose."  Sooooo funny!

One final story before I post the pics.... the night before Emmersyn turned two, I was laying in bed with Cameron and he told me, "I think when Emmersyn turns two she will be able to talk."  Wouldn't that be wonderful, I thought to myself.  Anyway, the next morning Cameron was laying in bed with me trying to get me out of bed to play the Wii with him.  He heard Emmersyn waking up in her crib and he gets all excited calling to me to go get the baby to see if she can talk.  While she was whining in her baby ways, Cameron exclaimed, "Mommy she said 'e' in French."  So, to Cameron everything was perfect.  His sister turned two and she can now talk to him in French.  That doesn't help me because I still can't understand her.

Riverside Drive

I thought I would force myself to blog before Wednesday when it is Cameron's B'day and I'm sure that we will have lots of B'day pics.  Rather than having two B'day posts back-to-back, I threw in these pictures along Riverside. These pictures were from a couple of weeks ago.  I got done with work a little early and we were able to go out to one of our favorite Middle Eastern restaurants.  The food (appetizers) was delicious.  We never made it to our actual entrees because Emmersyn had had enough.  So we had the kitchen box up the entrees and headed out.  On our way home Mohamed drove along Riverside Dr. and we decided to get out and walk a little.  I didn't have my camera with me, but Mohamed's iphone did the trick.  Here was a bit of our walk along Riverside Drive.
