Week One...A Success

If I had to rate how the first week back to school went, I would have to say, without hesitation that it was a definite success.  Cameron has been looking forward to school each morning, and after the first 10 minutes of putting on a crying act at school, Emmersyn has also enjoyed her first week.  I, too, have like that Cameron's new school starts an hour later than his old school which gives us a little more time in the morning to get both kids ready, and gives us an extra hour during the day to run that one extra errand.

Next week marks that start of swimming and skating so we'll see how that goes.  Swimming will be an adjustment for us because it is from 7:30-8:00 at night.  And, in the Rashwan family, bedtime showers are usually completed by 5:30-6:00.  But, we'll make the adjustment.  And skating should be interesting because Cameron has never been on a pair of ice skates.  Once again, I'm sure he'll adjust.  And, it is required that they have a regulation helmet, but I'm going to get him the whole goalie gear and insist that this is what I thought was "required."

Anyway, here are a few pictures from today....

This picture was from this morning just before leaving for school.  Emmersyn was so eager to get to school, that she grabbed her backpack and was off in a dash, refusing to wait 3 seconds for me to snap a photo!

So, after we dropped off both kids, I headed across to the States for some quick shopping.  I met up with Nicole which was great, but at the same time problematic.  We spent too much time in the kids clothing section which increased both of our bills.  Check out these super cute shoes I picked up for Emmersyn.

Emmersyn looks a little out of it here, after awaking from her nap.  School must be exhausting!

Emmersyn loved her new shoes and did not want to take them off to try on the cute boots I also bought for her.  Those photos will have to be for another blog.

And check out Cameron's new chair!  This is his new "gaming chair."  It was such a hit that we had to buy a pink one for Emmersyn.  (Be on the lookout, mom, for another huge box!  The pink chair has been ordered!  And when I come to pick it up, I'll be sure not to have the stroller!!!!)

That's it for tonight.  Have a good weekend!
