2nd Annual Halloween Party

We had such a fun time at our 2nd Annual Halloween Party!  I took lots of pictures and everyone did a fabulous job coming up with some pretty unique costumes.  Take a look.

Emmersyn was such a beautiful little lady bug, don't you think????

And here is Mario without the mustache!

Hanging out waiting for all of our guests to arrive.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Cameron!

I was a pirate...just hanging out with Mario and the bug!

Mohamed insisted that I don't smile for this photo because supposedly pirates do not smile!  Here was my best pirate expression!

Cameron trying to blend in with the guests on the wall!

Can you guess which one is Mohamed???

His mug shot!

The jailbird with Mario!

Out came the mustache temporarily...while we were waiting for everyone to cross the border.

Mario and the pirate....

Mohamed and I were trying to get a picture together....this was a self taking photo....

Isn't he soooooo cute?  I could eat him up!  And, this little boy is so funny to just sit and watch!

And in came the Sheriff!

I love this family photo!

Isn't Laura glowing?????  I don't think it was from all that glitter, either...

Indiana Jones had arrived!

And mom was a spider!  I loved this couple.

Can anyone guess who this is????  It's Nicholas!

Look at what the jailbird caught!

I could not get this cute little Minnie Mouse to smile!  Isn't she adorable, though?

Amanda was beautiful!

Mohamed could not pass up a picture with Amanda.

Another Sheriff was in town...

And a pretty Sheriff at that!

Once again, no smile from Gabby.  I think it might have been because this was at the beginning of the party before she warmed up to everyone.

Mom showing off her cool, matching, purple Halloween nail polish!

The Sheriff found a NERD!

You couldn't help but laugh when Steve came out in his costume!  He was a geeky nerd.

And then the Bride and Groom arrived!  With some pretty HUGE news.  These weren't costumes at all.  And that huge diamond on her finger isn't costume jewelry!  It's REAL!

Here Justin was explaining to us all how he proposed.  It was very elaborate!  I'll leave the details for Justin and Crystal to tell.

Here they were practicing for there wedding photos!

We tried to get a group shot on the timer, however I needed to zoom in, but didn't.  Nicole captured a much better photo.  Hopefully she'll be able to blog soon to share.

Amanda, Nicholas, and Cameron had a mask painting contest.  It was a three way tie!  For the tie breaker, the kids had to vote with the rule being they couldn't vote for their own mask!  The mask in the middle won!

That about sums up the party in pictures.  I'll let Nicole show off a picture of the treats that she brought. If she doesn't blog soon, I'll post them for her.  She always comes up with some creative treat!  Already looking forward to next year!

Back to Reality

It has been back to reality since returning from our vacation.  So much monotony, there has been nothing to blog about.  We are looking forward to our Halloween party this weekend.  At least I'll have something to blog about.

The most exciting news since we've been back from our trip is that Cameron got his dictee correct!  He gets a dictee at the beginning of the week, and on Friday his teacher dictates the sentence and the students have to write it.  Each week he has been making a little silly mistake.  Not last week!  Check this out!

This is what was sent home today for the new dictee.  Wish us luck on Vendredi!

We finally decided to take out Emmersyn's braids.  It was just as painful taking them out as it was putting them in.  It took 1 1/2 hours to put in the braids, and it took us nearly this long to take them out.  Mohamed started the process and I finished it while he was at swimming with Cameron.  I'm not sure if Emmersyn was crying because her cute braids were coming out, or because we were pulling her hair causing her pain.

And since we are back home, this means that Mohamed is back to cooking.  I found this picture on the camera....This was the beginning of a veggie dish he made the other day.  Mushrooms and onions...yum, yum.

And I put this picture up of Emmersyn playing at the computer because I think it really shows off her big, beautiful, brown eyes!

Here Emmersyn and I are just hanging out before school this morning.

Is she not the cutest and stylish pre-preschooler you know?  I could eat her up!

Here she was soooo happy that I gave her a bag of cookies.

She was not so happy that I wouldn't open them up.  Look at the attitude she is giving me.  Regardless, she still looks darling in this sweater dress!

She gave up on the bag of cookies and refused to talk to me!

I bought her two new hats today and she LOVED them.  She was wearing them all day.  She'll probably wear one to bed.

And here is Cameron's new hat.  Isn't he such a handsome boy?

What a face!

Trying to be silly, of course.

And, not sure what he was attempting here!
