Day 4, Toronto...This is it!

So, this is our last day in Toronto!  This is how our morning started out as we headed to the African Lion Safari.  There was such a down pour we could not see where we were driving.

We were driving in a monsoon!  We couldn't see anything.  This was going to be fun at the Safari.  Good thing we had all that practice of feeling drenched from being at Niagara!

The rain had eventually let up by the time we made it to the African Lion Safari.  We decided to take the bus tour rather than our own car to see the animals.  We were going to go back through a second time with our car, but the kids were not up for it.  By this time they were ready to go home.  The problem with the bus ride was that the windows were tinted and therefore the pictures didn't come out great.  We'll get some better pictures the next time we go.  These will have to do for now.  It was so cool.

I love this guy's hair!

This little guy had ripped off the side mirror and started to chew on it.  So funny!  These little ones are so strong.  Car parts were flying all around!  And there were so many of these guys everywhere!

And once they have a part of your car, they keep it to show off to all of their monkey friends.  It is so cool.  They go jumping from car, to car, to car.  They are very loud when running across the top of the bus.

This one was going to grab something under thing the car, perhaps a muffler, or else he was going to try making a flat tire.

Patiently waiting for his next victim!

This was a cool cheetah demonstration!

This is when the elephants were walking trunk to tail in line to go to the water to show off their swimming abilities.  It was very impressive that elephants can swim.  They are so massive and they do not sink.  I loved these guys as well!

I didn't like that he was staring straight at me!  But, what a beautiful cat!

That about sums up our weekend getaway to Toronto.  No doubt that we will be doing this tour again next year.  Any joiners?????

Toronto, Day 3

So, here we go for Day 3.  I know these vacation pictures are getting a bit monotonous, but I need documentation for the blog book.  Here is Day 3 in Toronto....heading to Niagara!  We got smart by Day 3 and Mohamed ran across the street to Tim Horton's solo to bring breakfast back to the hotel rather than having the crazy, untamed monkeys going wild at the restaurant.  Emmersyn loved her bagel with cream cheese.

I love this picture of her eating.  She is soooo happy when she is around food!

Cameron is more like me when it comes to food.  We go for the simple things.  A toasted plain bagel.

Mohamed was content with his large, double, double.

This was my first time to see the falls, and I was amazed.  I loved the falls.  It is definitely a spectacular site. I still have to look up where all that water "falls" into.  I think Steve mentioned it might flow into the Atlantic Ocean.  Wow!  Wouldn't that be fascinating.  I'll do some research.

Cute picture of Cameron.

Here is an attempt at getting the cousins together.

Another attempt with all of the cousins.

Simply amazing....

Cameron was also fascinated by the falls.

Here Mohamed was trying to capture us all walking to get to the Maid of the Mist....

Still walking, and walking, and walking.  It was a bit of a hike!

We made it to the Maid of the Mist and were given our ponchos, or as Cameron called them, our garbage bags.

Gabby was a bit hot in her garbage bag, so Nicole took it off while we waited our turn to get onto the boat.

Emmersyn on the other hand, loved her garbage bag!

And, Amanda doesn't look too bothered either with her garbage bag.  Look at that bright smile!  I love it!

And, this is why we needed these cool garbage bags....

So, after we were all drenched because the garbage bags do nothing when you are right up to the falls, the kids decided they wanted to go into a mirror maze.  Nicole and I joined them.  It was so funny.  The goal was to find your way out, obviously.  Cameron at one point uttered, "I think we are lost."  All you do is basically go around in circles bumping into your own reflection in mirrors.

While we were in the house of mirrors, this is what Emmersyn had decided to do...Sleep!  After the maze of mirrors, the kids chose to go into a haunted house.  I didn't get any pictures of the haunted house, and it was Steve and Mohamed's turn to go in with the kids.  From what we heard, it wasn't that great.

Here are some pictures at the end of the day on our long walk back to the car.

Here is the attempt at getting us all together.

Great picture of the guys.

That's it for Day 3.  Our final day in Toronto will be coming soon!
