What a Fun-Filled Day!

What a beautiful, sunny day we had today.  The morning started with Emmersyn throwing a terrible two temper tantrum because she did not want me using "her" treadmill.  She is so spoiled and still does not understand the concept of sharing.  I take full responsibility for the way she has turned out.  As I was attempting to run on her treadmill she was hitting me and crying to me that it was "my treadmill."  She would point in the corner where the old treadmill is folded up and waiting to be picked up and say, "mama."  So, Mohamed promised her that he would go and buy her another treadmill if she let me have her treadmill.  See how we enable this vicious cycle to continue?

This is what Emmersyn wanted me to run on....

This is what I wanted to run on....

And so did Cameron....

Next we headed outside to take off the training wheels on Cameron's bike, put more air in his bike tires, and air in the tires of the running stroller.  Once again, Mohamed had promised his little princess that soon they would be going for lots of runs together.  She loves her runs outside.

Then Mohamed was out the door for work and I headed to Michaels with the kids in search of some Easter crafts.  This is what they picked out.  First, here are some plain plastic Easter Eggs that they wanted to decorate with stickers.

Here is Cameron's....

And the other side....

He was proud of his Easter egg.

And, so was Emmersyn....

She would not let this egg down....she was falling asleep with the egg in her hand.

Then it was off to hockey.  While Cameron was inside skating, Emmersyn was heading off to the forest.

Taking a rest...

Trying to slide down this little hill on her stomach!

We then played in the trunk for a while....

Of course, with the Easter egg.

Then, she insisted that she wear my sunglasses because it was too sunny for her and she forgot to bring her sunglasses.

There's that egg again.

When we got Cameron off the ice, she now insisted on wearing his helmet while he drank his Gatorade.  It must have been a great skate, because as soon as he step off the ice, he was dying for something to drink.

She got possession of my purse and Cameron's helmet.

Cameron just cooling down after his workout.

Then it was off to the park for some more fun....

She found it much more fun to go down the slide like superwoman than that grassy hill.

And here come Cameron.  Monkey see, monkey do.

This girl can climb anything....

And he can climb things backwards.

Climbing to the top...

Cameron coaxing his sister to the top.

Then we had a slight problem.  She refused to get in her car seat after the park.  She sat on the floor for a good 35 minutes.  Cameron watched his DVD, I played on my phone, and the parents and other kids at the park just watched us.  It was too hot in the car so I had to have the windows down and she was loud!

When we did finally make it home, we had a quick bite to eat, and started decorated Easter eggs AGAIN!

These were foam sticker eggs...so easy for the kids to do independently.  I loved it!

Here were some of the eggs.  There are 24 to complete....Maybe we'll finish them tomorrow.

Cameron then wanted to decorate the windows some more with the new Easter window stickers we picked up...  These were some of the older stickers....

Here Cameron is hanging up the new stickers.  Emmersyn was having a pooping issue at this point so she was out of commission.

That about wraps it up for today....I'm tired, the kids are tired, and it's getting late.  Plus, we lost an hour due to this crazy time switch.  We are looking forward to this week of warm weather!

  1. Great photos. It looks like you had a fun filled day. First I want to know.... where are you going to put a second treadmill of Emmersyn... and second... it is going to be very easy for her to get a car on her 16th birthday. I'm just warning you!

Loved the shots of Emms in the hockey helmet and purse. She was very stylish. The kids looked like they had a great time at the park. I'm not surprised Emmersyn didn't want to leave. That is the trouble with 2 year olds... they aren't rational beings... so a 35 minute tantrum should not be surprising.

The egg creations are awesome. I'm going to go to Michaels this week to make some with my kids. At least all the foam, plastic, and stickers, can't go bad, stain the carpet, or break like real eggs.

My final thought... the picture of Emms in the trunk of the car... it looks like she has a short bob haircut... and it is ADORABLE. If you ever chop her hair that would be the style to do!

    Have a great week!
