Here I was sitting with Emmersyn as Simone started the braiding process. Mohamed and Cameron ran up to our hotel room to get the DVD player to see if that would distract Emmersyn. Simone told us that it usually takes 45 minutes to braid the entire head, but it would take her longer with Emmersyn. Hummm, I wonder why? Time to braid Emmeryn's hair: 1 1/2 hours.
While Emmersyn was getting her hair braided, Cameron began to bury himself in the sand.
Now it was Mohamed's turn to hold Emmersyn.
She would not sit still. We sat with her, stood with her, bribed her.....anything we could think of. Simone was so patient with us. She has a two year-old son so she could understand the difficulties we were going through.
How cute is this Bahama Baby once all of her braids were done????
Good thing Emmersyn has her own personal traveling psychologist with her to get her through any PTSD that she might be experiencing!
She forgave us shortly after the braiding episode was over. I think she ended up with 26 braids at $7/braid....It was well worth it!
And remember, this is what her hair looked like before the braids....
These next few pictures were in Marina Village. A little area with a few shops. We were trying to waste a little time before dinner.
Everyday after we ate dinner, Emmersyn would run downstairs to see the fish. There are so many amazing aquariums all over Atlantis. We have a ton of aquarium pictures....
Didn't Cameron do a great job taking a picture of the three of us?
Another picture taken by Cameron. He was more than willing to snap photos!
I never read the owners manual for my camera which was a huge problem. I wasn't able to capture any night pictures and most of these aquarium pictures turned out dark. My next purchase will be a nice new camera...and I promise to read the owners manual this time!
So many fish!!!!
I'm not really sure what is going on in this picture. We were walking through "The Dig" and Mohamed stumbled upon this helmet. Another photo opportunity...
Back to the beach pictures.....The stroller was an issue on the trip because Bahama Baby thinks she is in control of everything and everyone. We did a lot of walking and Cameron often asked Emmersyn if he could hitch a ride in the back of her stroller. Very rarely did she allow Cameron in....If we would have known how much use this stroller was going to get, we would have invested in a double stroller.
Emmersyn heading out for a quick dip in the pool!
That wraps up the pictures for today's entry. Many, many, many more pictures to come....
The good news is that I can comment from my iPad. I'm off to church. I'll comment later.
