Fever, rocks, watch, etc...

Another mundane week here in Windsor.  Emmersyn decided to catch whatever Cameron had the previous week so she dealt with a fever for a good 3 days.  She's finally beginning to act herself again.  This picture was from this morning.  She was so excited to get some fresh air.  She enjoyed relaxing in her chair on the deck taking in the humidity.

After a few minutes, she had decided she had enough rest and relaxation.  It was time to explore.  She headed for the gate and was down the stairs.

She was intrigued by the shiny white rocks that were now in her backyard.  While she was ill, Mohamed did some more landscaping.  We added these white marble rocks and some "grass" plants.  I love the rocks.

Emmersyn had picked out the one perfect rock.

Cameron heard the fun from inside and decided to come out in his pj's in search of a "hidden treasure" under the rocks.  He was disappointed when he didn't find what he was searching for.

This was a picture when Emmersyn was not feeling well.  She was engaged in one of her favorite activities.  Putting stickers all over her body.

And, Mohamed was so excited the other day when he got dressed up.  After he was all dressed, he comes in and declares, "You want to know something funny?"  I was anticipating that he was going to tell me another funny story about the kids.  Instead, he said, "I don't have a watch to wear."  Yes, that is funny, because if you are not aware, Mohamed has a watch collection in every color and every style, to match every outfit he owns.  Brown, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, magenta, heavy, light, medium, gigantic, normal size, etc.  I guess he'll be back on the watch hunt...

And lastly, Mohamed was out front adding some more rocks to his front landscape.  This time he recruited Cameron.

That's it for the update.  Hopefully tomorrow we will have some fun to report.

Nothing new this weekend

The weekend has come and gone.  Cameron is feeling much better and defeated whatever virus he was fighting the past 48 hours.  Yesterday he started to perk up and we took a drive to the Strawberry Festival in LaSalle.  To make a long story short, we had a camera malfunction that I blamed on Mohamed and Mohamed blamed on me.  Regardless, we lost all of the pictures that we took.  These were the two pictures that I was able to salvage.

Today we headed outside again to play in the backyard.  Here Cameron is modeling his new Mario bathing suit.

And here Emmersyn is modeling off one of her new bathing suits.  I don't like this one at all.  It won't make the cut to be packed for the Bahamas.  We have lots more to model off and will choose the most flattering that will be joining us on vacation.

Cameron just chilling in the pool!

He is still trying to get the hang of the slip and slide.  He needs some more advice from Nicholas and Amanda.  Can't wait for Father's Day when we can all play together again.

Cameron found a way to  use the slide pool as a slip and slide.  He loved it!

Emmersyn had enough water for the day.  She was heading out.

After we came in and took baths, what better snack then some chocolate Timbits?

Have a great week.  I'll be back next weekend.

Week in Review

So this is what we have been up to since the last blog entry...  The weather has been so gorgeous and we have been spending a lot of time outside.  I love these first two pictures of Mohamed and Emmersyn in their matching outfits.  They were heading out for a shopping spree at Costco and had to coordinate their outfits.

These next two pictures I just thought were cute....

Then on Monday since the USA was celebrating Memorial Day, Nicole, Steve, and the kids decided to come across and visit us Canadians.  Cameron had school, but had a fabulous surprise to come home to when he saw Nicholas, Amanda, and Gabby waiting for him to get home from school.  Soon they had all changed into their bathing suits and had some fun in the sun.  The big kids started out on the slip and slide and the little girls played in the slide pool.  Here are some pics.

Gabby wanted to catch a ride from Emmersyn on her 4-wheeler.  Emmersyn was not too happy.  Gabby thought it was fabulous!

Here Emmersyn looks annoyed...

And here, Emmersyn looks angry!

Time to go in.....

Mohamed and I went to pick out some new shrubs the other day.  He was looking forward to doing some yard work.  Once it was all done, he stated, "I think it's better to hire someone to do this."  With Mohamed's perfectionism, he dug, re dug, and re dug again, in order to get the shrubs perfectly centered!  He lost 8 pounds during this project!  What a great workout!

Emmersyn has been hooked on watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse streaming from the Internet.  She refuses to watch Mickey on t.v. now.   Between her and Cameron's Internet usage, our bill last month was astronomical.  Check out her cute skirt!  I find it so adorable.

And poor Cameron...he woke up this morning with a high fever and was throwing up!  It's June, not flu season.  Once I returned home from an outing with the girls this afternoon, I gave Cameron some medicine and he seemed to perk up a bit. It was either the medicine or the Mario bathing suit and pj's I bought for him.  So, we played a few rounds of UNO attack.

And when I got home today, I was pleasantly surprised that our furniture that we ordered for downstairs had arrived.  I was happy with the furniture (it doesn't take much to please me.)  Mohamed, on the other hand, was thoroughly disappointed.  He does not like it at all.  We ordered it on-line, so we never actually saw it in person or were able to sit on it.  He will be back on the hunt for some better furniture.  I would keep it.  We'll see what happens.

This is a picture a little closer up to see the detail.

This was the chest of drawers that we bought the other day as well.

On a final note, I had a great time this afternoon having lunch with Laura, Crystal, Nicole, Mom, Tyler, and Gabby.  I am hoping that everyone enjoyed themselves and that we can continue getting together once/month.  Have a great weekend!
