Nothing to Report

No funny stories to report....As for the treadmill....Hmmmmm, I guess the best way I can describe it is like upgrading from an Infiniti to an Aston Martin!  It has all the luxurious features and is such a smooth ride!

Here are some pics from today...

Emmersyn did awesome in her underwear ALL day!  Only one small accident, but....we are on our way to having a potty trained little girl!  My mind is already thinking where I can spend all of the diaper money, hummmmmm.  New clothes, new purse, vacation funds.....such decisions!

These next few pictures are in care of Amanda.  Amanda loves her Cheetos and so does Cameron.  Here Cameron is showing off his Cheeto fingers to Amanda....

Cameron with a look of disgust when he realizes how dirty his fingers really are.  Remember my kids are phobic to dirtiness.

He has a solution.....lick them clean!

Here Emmersyn is hanging out with her iPad that she stole from her dad.  She is a spoiled little girl.  And the no clothes....remember, we keep our home pretty toasty!

Showing off on the potty!

Remember how I was trying to get us all into the blog daily...well, thanks to Cameron, here I am!

More cute underwear shots!

A little jealous that I wasn't taking a picture of his butt!!!

Deep in contemplation of what masterpiece she was going to construct with her Legos!

Now the camera fun begins.... Let's get some shots together....Here we go...

Timer fun!!!!

And again....

Emmersyn wanted to join us....

whoops!

My attempt at getting the two monkeys together.

Another attempt....

I'll settle for this cute face!

That's it for tonight.  I'm exhausted.  And, a bit disappointed that I didn't get Mohamed into the blog today.  I literally saw him for 4 minutes in-between me getting home from work and him leaving for work.  I'll have to make it up tomorrow!

Knee Holders

Today when I was dropping Cameron off for school, I asked him if he wanted me to sign him up for soccer.  He said, "Yes.  Don't forget to get me knee holders.  I need four pairs.  2 for my knees and 2 for my arms.  They will make me run faster and I won't get hurt when I fall down."

Wow!  I like that "knee holders."  I couldn't tell him that they are called shin guards.  And, I'm not sure what the arm holders actually do.  Maybe he means elbow pads.  He is going to look pretty funny out on the soccer field!

Last night, we had an awful night of sleep.  I should have known early that it was going to be a rough night.  Cameron was exhausted and fell asleep on the floor.

I managed to get him changed and into bed.

Shortly after that, Emmersyn had fallen asleep drinking her bottle next to Cameron.  She fell asleep for approximately 20 minutes, and was up the rest of the night!  So exhausting.  She wanted a diaper change, wanted another bottle, needed a different pacy....you name it, she needed it.  She finally fell back asleep around 6:15 this morning when I went down for my run!  Needless to say, I was exhausted, and after I dropped the kids off to school, I took a nap before it was off to work!

Then the treadmill was delivered into the garage.  It was huge!  How was this 400 pound beast going to get downstairs????

Then we picked up Emmersyn from school.  She was a bit disturbed when Mohamed picked her up because Ms. Alessa tried to put her initials on her pacy and she evidently freaked out.  Ms. Alessa then decided to put a sticker over Emmersyn's initials to stop the freak out.  When she got home she showed me the pacy with the sticker, took off the sticker, and made me wash off the initials.  She no longer will use this pacy....Maybe we should initial all of her pacys....that will be an easy way to wean her from these crazy soothers!

She was sooooo tired after school.  I'm trying to get a picture of all of us in the blog every day.  So, here I wanted a picture with Emmersyn.  Doesn't she resemble me?????

My treadmill waiting to be put together.....

Rather than cooking tonight, we decided to head out to dinner.

I needed to get Mohamed into the blog.  So, here he is hanging out with Emmersyn over dinner.

I made it into another picture with Cameron.

And, I was shocked to see my treadmill put together when I returned home from work.  I was sooooo excited.  The treadmill is so cool.  Mohamed had one of his friends come by to help him bring it downstairs.

I can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.

I'm tired.  Hopefully we'll get some better sleep tonight!  Until tomorrow!

The Magic Wand

So yesterday when I picked up Cameron from school, the first thing he said was, "I can't wait for Amanda's Birthday."

Me: "Why?"

Cameron:  "Because she is making me a green magic wand with rainbow stripes.  It doesn't do anything real."

He then proceeded to tell me that Amanda's wand has streamers, but Nicholas' doesn't and his won't have streamers.  He continued to talk about these magic wands and how Amanda has a magic spell book.  All of this came about when we decided to take a late, last minute drive to the States on Sunday evening to do some quick grocery shopping.  I dropped off Cameron at Nicole's so that he could play with his cousins.  When I went to pick him up he was under Amanda's spells.  Cameron told me that Amanda placed a spell on him that he could walk through walls, but that he couldn't walk through walls because it is just pretend.  He then proceeded to tell me that the spell to make him run very fast didn't work either.

I guess the activity of today will be homework???????  Here Cameron is working on his dictee...

The goal is by Thursday, he will have this phrase memorized for his test.  Usually we have dictee's on Friday, but this Friday is a teacher appreciation day, so there is no school.  We'll report back on how he does.

On a positive note, our lego collection got moved to Cameron's room on his pencil case bookshelf.  They look much better here, don't they????

Emmersyn was so funny the other day when she came out of her room wearing her headband and glasses.

Hanging out with a good friend, Boofo!

And just a random activity from Mohamed....a quick run on the broken treadmill.

And here is my activity of the day.....Emmersyn was upset that it was Cameron's turn to go to swimming tonight, so I offered to take her for a run in the stroller.  I had so much fun!  It feels sooooo good to run outside and not on a treadmill.  I need to get myself some running gear so I can have some fun runs outside.  My inner ears are still sore as I'm writing this from the cold.

I wonder what fun activities we will do tomorrow?????

Oh no.....Where did January 2012 go?????

I was bored this morning and randomly started looking back at previous blog posts.  They were so cool and I had lots of fun reminiscing.  Then, my joy turned into sadness as I realized that I haven't blogged at all in January.  I have a lot to make up......I don't even know where to begin.  31 days go by and because I didn't document anything, I have no idea what we did in these 31 days.  I haven't been taking pictures, because I'm so unhappy with the way my camera has been taking photos.  These are the only pictures that I found looking back over the past month......

Emmersyn still loves taking her naps on her lion.  She'll be 15 years old and probably still be sleeping on the lion.  Maybe we should wait to order that King size mattress we were thinking about....hmmmmmmm.

What an unbelievably warm January 2012 we have had.  We have been so spoiled.  The kids are always taking advantage of the nice weather to play outside.  You would never know it was January.

I've been trying to bring the kids across to visit Grammie and Grampie so they can visit more than just on holidays.  Cameron loves hanging out with Grampie playing the old school Super Mario Brothers on Nintendo.  Emmersyn shouts, "yahhhh" every time I ask her if she wants to go see Grammie.

Here it was dad's turn to get Mario to the end of the level.

And then it was Cameron's turn.  I have a really cute video, however I can't upload the video which was taken from my iPhone.  What a bummer.  Dad was cheering Cameron on and telling him how cool it was to have fire power!

January has been filled with lots and lots of Legos.  We are always on the hunt to find Legos.  At one point I went to every toy store here in Windsor, and crossed into the States in search of plain Legos.  Not the ones that come prepackaged to make a specific vehicle.  So, Cameron ended up with pink "Girl" legos to start with.  I scout out the stores weekly to pick up boxes of Legos.  Emmersyn has been into the Duplex legos making cool creations of her own.

It's a little more difficult for Emmersyn to build seeing that she loves her Timbits and can't seem to put them down.

This is what Emmersyn does when Cameron is at skating practice.  She decorates the car windows with Mickey stickers.  This is much better than chasing her around the ice rink.

Here is a picture of the one day that it did snow in January.  We had to head out at night to enjoy the snow....It would be gone by the morning.

This was just a random picture I took of Cameron showing off one of Emmersyn's Lego creations.

Here is a collection of Cameron's Legos on one of my side dressers.  He insists there is not a better place to display them.

And, Emmersyn started swim lessons this month, which she absolutely LOVES.  Yes, I want her to learn to swim, but without her arms in the water.....weird, but spoken from experience.  Mohamed brings her to swimming when I'm at work, and I'm not so sure on how good of a job he is doing with keeping her arms out of the water.  Her muscles are growing weekly!  Ahhhhhh!  Cameron is swimming as well, and looks forward to swimming every week.  There are no stipulations on his swimming.  I'm fine with him using his arms to swim.

Also, in January we started working on some home projects.  It has been quite interesting.  One night, when we were all under the weather, Mohamed had a great idea around 9 at night to go for a drive.  To make a long story short, we ended up purchasing much needed curtains for our living room.  Since we aren't great at this home renovation stuff, we didn't think that it was essential to measure the length of the window.  Needless to say, they were a bit short.

The following day, we decided to get a measuring tape and measure the length of the window.  Now all we need is a liner.  It's hard to tell that they are the perfect length in this picture, but believe me, they are now floor length.

The treadmill.....Hmmmm where to begin with this topic.  Here's the low down.  My beloved treadmill has been giving me issues the past few months.  It makes weird noses, the calibration is off, my leg was bothering me, and now my hip is bothering me.  So, I finally ordered a new treadmill which is scheduled for delivery for tomorrow, but since no one will be around, it will be dropped off on Wednesday.  Looking forward to spending lots of quality time with my best nonhuman friend.

On another note, with my treadmill, Cameron received his "bulletin scolaire jardin d'enfants."  I started to freak out under the "Education physique et sante" category when the teacher wrote, "Je l'encourage d'augmenter ses seances d'activities physiques a fin d'ameliorer son endurance."  Which simply translates to.....Cameron needs to work on his endurance.  So, within 30 seconds of me reading this comment, Cameron had his Nike's laced up and was on the treadmill!  I had him start at running 1/4 mile.  I have him on a training schedule so that by the end of February he will be running 2 miles and by the end of June, we will be training for the 1/2 marathon!

Here is another one of January's projects....We started to hang these photos along the wall of the stairs.  It is the beginning of the project....the rest of the photos are waiting for their frames.

Another random picture of Cameron playing the Wii with Emmersyn chilling in the background.

Project #3 for January.  We hung some shelving on the walls in the basement.  We are now looking for some cool things to display!

The kids have really gotten into this TV program called "La Mouche."  It's a French program about a fly.  I'm sure Emmersyn doesn't understand all of the French, but Cameron is a great translator.  Today it was a scary episode so Emmersyn sat beside Cameron so he could hold her hand.  Look at how she put her arm through his.  It was so funny.  And check out her facial expressions.  Remember she was watching a show about a FLY!

Anyway, that is all that I can remember about January 2012.  I am really going to try to be better this month.  I should implement the activity of the day challenge again, hummmmmm?????
