A quick recap

Lots has happened since the last entry.  Most significantly, I put in my resignation to my job in the States. This means I will no longer be required to play the border game on a daily basis.  I'll be working in a private practice with no one to answer to but myself.  How wonderful is that?  No more internal politics, asking for time off, productivity, or sitting through unnecessary meetings!  What a relief!

Nothing really new on Mohamed's end.  Just working and trying to get back into working out.

Cameron continues to thrive with his French, and is still into the Wii and computer.  The other day he was playing a computer game and passed a difficult level, a level that I was having difficulty passing.  When I told Cameron I was proud of him and questioned him how he passed, he simply stated, "I used my brains."  Okay, I thought.  He then proceeded to point to the particular area on his head that housed the "brains" that he used.  He told me at times he uses other parts of his "brains" to solve other problems.

On another note, Cameron has been talking about starting gymnastics for the past 2 weeks.  Great, I thought.  Maybe this session he won't throw a temper tantrum when we walk into the building.  He woke up this morning all excited, however, once we got there...same story just another day.  But, Emmersyn loved it!  She was sooooooo cute modeling everything the instructors were doing.  She loved all of the other kids in the class and was laughing the whole time.  So, I went right up to the registration desk, withdrew Cameron from the class and registered Emmersyn for gymnastics.  She will be going to gymnastics on Friday mornings.  She is so excited and this might be the start to an Olympian.

Here are a few pics of Emmersyn.  Cameron has not been in the picture taking mood lately.

This is Emmersyn's favorite place to climb.  On the top of the couch.

The only time Emmersyn can sneak a turn on the Wii these days is when Cameron is at school.

Look at how intense she is when she is about to beat Bowser!

Back again to her favorite position.

The only picture I have of Cameron.  He does love his sister, without a doubt.

And, like Cameron, she has become addicted to the Computer.  I've been trying to teach her how to type, but she would rather play Primate Pileup!

At least she knows how to log off and shut down the computer.

A quick summary

I really wish that there were more hours in each day.  These days it seems like I have no extra time which also translates into no blogging.  I complain about having no time, but at the same time I do realize that I am choosing not to have extra free time.  Mohamed and I are fortunate to be able to work all the hours that we want and get compensated for it.  I wouldn't want it the other way around.  Anyway, here is a bit of what we do when we aren't at work....

Both kids are addicted to the game Angry Birds.  Even Emmersyn can get the birds to hit the pigs!  It's crazy!

The following day, she is still busy with the iPhone trying to get to the next level on Angry Birds!

Then, Mohamed found out where Emmersyn was hiding and insisted on trying to get a picture with her.

And, it's not fair that Mohamed always makes it into the pictures, so of course I handed the camera over to him so I could be captured in a photo with my baby girl!

Cameron and Mohamed went out to buy the Wii and have been spending a lot of quality time together playing Super Mario Brothers.  I need to take a video of Mohamed playing Mario Brothers because he is so funny playing.  Watching Cameron and Mohamed play together is a comedy.

Emmersyn is also in the rotation for a turn on the Wii.  Good thing Cameron got us 63 free Marios.  How the heck can you get so many free guys I have no idea.  The game goes on and on and on and on....

And, Cameron can't go a day without making some type of crazy face.

The kids still love playing in the play room.  Here are a few pictures from this morning...The Princess ball pit continues to be one of Emmersyn's favorite toys.

And Cameron, is into his cars and trains....

And I saved the best for last.  Although these pictures probably don't appear to be all that exciting, I am thrilled.  We took down all the boarders and crazy stickers in the kid's rooms.  I'm not sure who was more excited, myself or Mohamed. Cameron was all for taking down the "baby" Nemo stickers because he thinks he is going to paint his room green and red with Mario stickers!  We'll see!

The end product!

And here are Emmersyn's yellow walls with no stickers or boarder. I can't wait to get some pink in here!

Have a great week.  I probably won't be back to blogging until next weekend!

Shaking things up

I'm so excited that we came up with a plan to contain/hide all of the kid's toys.  It is a constant struggle and losing battle, as anyone with kids know, to keep the toys put away.  Toys seem to take over the living areas.  So, I decided to make a sacrifice and move out of my scrapbook room.  I moved all of my scrapbooking stuff into Mohamed's office where we are now roommates.  Hopefully we can now get a nice sectional and t.v. where the toys used to be and create a nice living room.  At least it is going to be a lot easier to hide the toys as we can shut the door to the toy room.  We still have a lot of work to do as far as organizing the rooms, but here are a few pictures.

So, this is the new play room!

And here is our living area free from all of the toys!  Yeah!

We need to take down those Tigger and Pooh stickers and get some Van Gogh, O'Keefe, Monet, or Picasso.  Or, even better, maybe we can get Janina to do a wall art for us!

And, this is our new shared office.  Good thing we kinda like one another.

And, because we were so busy with our move, Emmersyn was deprived of eating constantly.  She was resourceful and did find some paper towel to eat.

Then it was time for Mohamed to go to work.  He wanted to get one picture with the kids, but that did not happen.  We tried.

And, nothing new with Emmersyn.  She has not outgrown her love for climbing.  Her latest favorite thing to climb up is her chair so she can get to the calender and attempt to say everyone's name.

And finally here are just a few pictures to frighten you.  I didn't know what to do with myself yesterday on my day off after a long work week.  Can you tell?

And of course, Mohamed trying to outdo me!
